1990 :
Bishop Mulkearns blessed and opened the new chapel.
After a mass at St Alipius the Blessed Sacrament was carried
to St Pauls where the students formed a guard of honor.
1991 : All
students gathered in the hall to listen to Br Tom Kearney
explain the story behind our new Edmund Rice Icon. Fr
Paul Mercovich then blessed the Icon which was then hung in
the school library.
1991 : Mr Frank Sheehan, a St
Pauls Old Boy, visited the school assembly to present the
school with the Victorian Flag.
1992 : The
big news was announced! St Pauls, Sacred Heart and St
Martins in the Pines would merge come 1995. This was to
be known as the Damascus Project.
1992 : In
July it was announced that St Paul's was to receive a $686,610
grant from the federal government to refurbish building 9.
This would provide 2 art rooms, 2 music rooms, 2 graphics
rooms, a computer room and a home economics room.
1993 : The
first Damascus College event was held - a Arts Variety night
held at Her Majesty's.
1993 : Building 9 opened and
blessed.
1994 : 150th Anniversary of the
death of Edmund Rice.
1994....The
